Technical Project Manager, Marketing Technology

We are searching for an Agile project manager/scrum master for our agency’s growing Marketing Technology team. You are a change agent who will drive the team to deliver business value, and you enjoy the challenge of improving processes. Along the way you will have the opportunity to work with multiple technologies that address some of the most important marketing technology challenges facing companies today. Reporting directly into the head of the martech department, you will focus on adapting to change over conforming to plan.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Act as a Scrum Master to lead key initiatives to deliver project objectives for medium to large sized Agile projects
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and demos with team and stakeholders
  • Assist key stakeholders with backlog creation, grooming and prioritization
  • Identify and remove impediments to prevent distractions
  • Maintain and publish Agile metrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down)
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to facilitate release management across teams to coordinate release scheduling
  • Maintain software release schedule and act as a liaison between teams to ensure proper communication
  • Serve as a coach while empowering team self-organization and self-management
  • Cultivate robust and sustainable working relationships between account and technology teams to foster a cross-functional team environment
  • Promote and evangelize Agile across the organization
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance effectiveness
  • Manage competing demands with professionalism and a win-win attitude.



  • 3 or more years of professional experience managing technology projects with cross-functional, matrixed staff (including vendors) with high integration across multiple lines of business and technical disciplines
  • 2 years’ minimum experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager to manage Agile projects with Agile software development methodologies, specifically Scrum, Lean or Kanban
  • Experience in leading process improvement and/or change initiatives, especially as it relates to software development, is a plus
  • Proven ability as a leader able to lead and work with multiple diverse roles and personalities
  • Self-motivated driver able to make progress in the face of obstacles and to solve problems
  • Strong time management skills and sense of timeliness in meeting commitments
  • Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
  • Ability to understand the key metrics to be measured and optimized for
  • Exceptional facilitative skills; must be able to lead and demonstrate value add principles with transparency (e.g. desire to bring disclosure and grow trust)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Scrum Master or other Agile certification is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience
